April 2022 Update - Order Lockdown Schedule

Hello Squeaky Toys,
For many projects, the ongoing pandemic has caused schedule shifts and project delays and new obstacles seem to rise up on a regular basis.
Luckily, this project seems to be the opposite - it's come together quickly and seems to be progressing far ahead of initial projections. Looking at the Kickstarter page, we had the projected release for the PDF to backers as spring next year, and the hardcover projected to ship out by October 2023.
Well, here we are in Spring 2022, and I think we can start the order lockdown process in anticipation of the hardcover books being printed this summer!
So:

Confirm Rewards / Confirm Orders - May 23, 2022
I'll begin locking down all orders on MAY 23, 2022. This means that, once they're locked down, you won't be able to shift your pledge tier or add any additional Add On options. These will firm up the counts for our distribution partners so they can figure out deliveries.
On May23, I will send out a 48 HOUR NOTICE with a link for you to double check your pledge and items to ensure they're set up the way you want.
Process Outstanding Payments - June 6, 2022
For any additions you made in BackerKit, pre-orders, or any payments that did not process at the end of the Kickstarter campaign, please ensure your payment information is up to date, valid, and ready to be processed by June6, 2022. On that date, I will instruct BackerKit to lock down and process all outstanding payments.
Confirm Delivery Information - June 27, 2022
Please ensure your shipping information is up-to-date with your expected address for July/August 2022. Please ensure that this information is entered and correct by June27. After this point, I will take the shipping information we have for you in BackerKit and provide that to our fulfillment partners, so they can schedule the picking and packing of orders, with plans to begin shipping hopefully not long thereafter.
On June27, I will send out a 48 HOUR NOTICE with the delivery information we have in the system and a link in case you need to update or modify. After those 48 hours, the delivery information will be considered confirmed and locked in our system.
IF YOUR ADDRESS IS CHANGING IN THE SUMMER
If your shipping location will be changing during the July/August timeframe, please contact me at Onyx.Kickstarter [at] gmail.com. I will unlock your order and we'll hold off processing it until you're at your new location. If you have your new address and the effective date, let me know that too and I'll set it up. If you haven't confirmed your location yet, let me know that as well and I'll hold off the shipment until you're all sorted.

I don't have to say too much here, do I? I'm moving forward with a lot of assumptions that things will work out as planned, but we've learned that unexpected complications are lurking around every corner. I'll keep in touch with Onyx Path as best possible and we can adjust these dates as/if needed. Still, this project seems to be touched by the mouse gods of luck, so let's hope that the pattern continues.
For now, just review your BackerKit order list and ensure that it's got everything you want. I'll send out the 48 Hour Notices as mentioned. Also, I'm here to help. If there are any issues, get in touch and I'll sort everything as best I can.
Since this may be a tight printing window, there could be a few projects all happening around the same time, so there will be lots of moving parts and potential issues. I don't know exactly how long it'll take to ship things out, but I'll work with our fulfillment partners to get everything out as quickly as manageable. The delivery side of this may be an ongoing project, but we'll get there! Don't worry - we'll have lots of opportunities to make sure we're set up for success as long as the external factors all cooperate.

Well, it's been quite a March! We had a small, fun reward distributed just over 3 weeks ago, and of course our backer PDF went out just a few days before that! Let's review and see where we are in our campaign!

With your feedback from the backer PDF, the development team is making the final tweaks to the book, updating the Page XX notations and the index, and getting it all finalized. A quick note from Eddy as well: Both stretch goals whipped back from editing! I’m going to sit on these for a minute until the Squeaks errata comes in, so I can make sure everything lines up. So if you have Squeaks errata you’re sitting on, get it in ASAP so I can get back to work on these!

Reward Distribution: Squeaks in the Deep Backer PDF

Hello Squeaky Toys,
I know it's just been a few days since our last month end summary, but I'm already back to shake it up! In the update, I noted that we're likely to get the PDF version of our book, Squeaks in the Deep, much sooner than the anticipated delivery date listed on the Kickstarter page back when we ran our campaign. Like, a year earlier.
Because it's ready to go!
I had also mentioned that the team was waiting for a few final art pieces - a trio of half-page illustrations that are just being finished up. Well, they're still waiting on those final bits, but the book is otherwise all done, so they've decided to get it out to you now!
SQEAKS IN THE DEEP Backer PDF
Rats and mice live in the margins of the empires of dogs and cats, with homes that connect to the Underneath — a vast collection of warrens, tunnels, caves, and other hidden places. It is a dangerous place full of unexplained phenomena and terrifying creatures. But it is also full of wonders of ages past and the thrill of discovery. For the rodents believe Man was part of something called Science, a way to learn power through study, observation, and experimentation. Perhaps through the exploration of the Underneath, they can rediscover Science. It’s time to listen to the squeaks in the deep.
Squeaks in the Deep is a chronicle sourcebook for both Pugmire and Monarchies of Mau. It’s usable with either game, or as part of a joint experience. Some highlights include:
Two new species for players to portray: rats and mice
Six new rodent callings
Psionic rules
Information on the Underneath, as well as a variety of new enemies
“Confluence of Cults,” an adventure featuring the Underneath with both Pugmire and Monarchies starting points
Of course, I'm listing all of that knowing that you're already familiar with book! It's never not fun to have a summary, though! And, it's a good moment to catch our breath as we head into reward distribution info!
REWARD DISTRIBUTION
Your link to claim your Squeaksin the Deep Backer PDF will be sent out by our BackerKit pledge manager over the next day. Since we are using our partners at DriveThruRPG as the host for this, you will need to set up a DriveThru account if you don't have one already. Again, you will receive an e-mail from BackerKit with alink for this reward over the next 24hours if it is on your expected list of rewards.
The easiest way to see if you've got digital downloads available is to login to your backerkit account: https://squeaks-in-the-deep.backerkit.com/backer/digital_rewards and it'll show anything available. Your backerkit account should also confirm all rewards that you should expect from your reward tier selected.
This is the first version of Squeaksin the Deep to be released. The design and development teams have done their best to proofread and correct any errors and typos - but some always sneak through. If you catch any typos, incorrect math, visual glitches, and the like, we want to hear about them and correct them before we send the book off to print.
With that in mind, I'd like to introduce the Squeaksin the DeepFeedback Form!
Again, the team already knows about the three pieces of artwork in progress - those will be completed and added in when this version is finalized based on your feedback. They are also aware of the PAge XX notations - those are left in to replace for the final version once any changes you've suggested are made, so they can reference the correct page if any shifts in layout result.
Generally, they try to keep errata collection open for the next 2 weeks, although it may be accessible a little bit longer due to the chaotic nature of the world we're in now. Still, please report what you can as soon as possible to make sure we're getting everything covered.
They won't be collecting errata from other spots, just this specific form.
After any needed corrections are made (based on your feedback!), we will prepare an updated final PDF version of the book and you will receive a notice from DrivethruRPG that you can re-download your file with the latest version.
You've already made the book a reality with your Kickstarter support. Now you can make it even better by helping us crowdsource any minor errors and corrections.

February 2022 Update

Hello Squeaky Toys,
As we prepare to scurry into March, it's time for our quick month end update to check on the status of our projects. I've been tweaking how we'll review our pending rewards list so we can see progress at a glance. Let's dig in!
REWARDS STILL PENDING

So, a couple changes from our last list. Instead of listing the PDF/Hardcover/Discounted Print-on-Demand link as individual items, I've just included one listing for our main reward, the Squeaks in the Deep book. Those three formats are really just released at different stages of progress, so no real need to track and bulk up the list.
I've also removed the existing items that are going out with our final shipment - the dog and cat dice, the Monarchies of Mau book, and the Dog and Cat Guide Screens. Off the pending reward list but not off the schedule, those items are all existing stock and will ship out to those who pledged for them when the hardcover Squeaks in the Deep book is shipped.
One other change to note - the Rabbit Rules and Additional Underground Setting material that we unlocked during the campaign are now combined into one supplement, the Squeaks Companion, which is now in Editing.
So, some really great progress. Proofing on our final book is pretty far along. There are a couple more art pieces coming, but this book has come together extremely quickly and we'll likely get our main rewards much earlier than anticipated.
Eddy has a quick update on the Jumpstart PDF as well. [EDDY NOTE] The writer really turned things around in second drafts, making development easy. Now we need to figure out maps….
